Water Well Sand Filter Trap

A must have in Texas.  It is suggest to have multiple stages of filtering to get the highest quality at the faucet. A water well sand filter is installed in-line before the water pressure tank to keep sediment from reaching it.  This will give you a first line of defense before the filtering you do at the house and extend the life of your pressure tank.

There are two main vendors of sand and sediment spin-down filters that can be installed outdoors: Rusco and Lakos.  They are both in-line units with cartridge replacements.  The Lakos is a little larger than the Rusco, having a larger screen.  Rusco has the better pricing but either will accomplish the goal of being a water well sand filter and/or water well sediment
